Visiting Finance Analyst (m/w/d)

We are seeking a Visiting Finance Analyst based in Berlin for an immediate start. You will be working directly with the Head of Finance on all tasks needed to run the finance function of a fast growing, multinational, Seed Stage venture. Your days will be varied and give you exposure to everything from strategic financial planning & analysis, over closing months, preparing annual reports, to supporting with acquiring equity and non-dilutive funding. This internship provides an opportunity to get real, hands-on experience on what it takes to secure the financial health of a startup.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Finance in maintaining and updating the company’s multi-year financial model, as well as, the 13 week cash forecast

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, coordinating with our tax advisors to ensure deadlines are met.

• Support the identification, application, and administrative management of European and national grants (e.g., ESA, Horizon Europe) relevant to our satellite and atmospheric monitoring mission.

• Assist in day-to-day liquidity management, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and preparing payment runs.

• Support financial data consolidation between the different entities of our group

• Ad-hoc strategic projects like market research, cost analyses or whatever else is thrown our way.

Must Have:

• You’re pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration (BWL), Economics or Finance at a German speaking university and have already completed modules on financial- and cost accounting.

• You have can-do attitude, like rolling up your sleeves and getting things done

• You display high ownership and can deliver projects with little supervision

• Fluent in German and English

• You have specialised your degree on accounting, financial management, investment management or corporate finance

• You have gathered first experience in venture backed startups through internships

• Your course requires you to complete an internship (Pflichtpraktikum)
